The Mets have been highly criticized for their failure to honor their history, the Jackie Robinson rotunda is a striking way to enter the stadium but it is a bit much for many Mets fans. I once suggested calling it the Shea rotunda ( since he's the founding father of the team) with the Jackie Robinson Memorial and making the rotunda a little more of a mix between the Mets and Jackie.
